The problem

Your bank wants property security and 6 weeks

When you walk into a major bank for a business loan, the first question is usually ‘what property can you secure it against?’ and the second is ‘how many years of financials do you have?’ For growing businesses needing fast equipment funding or unsecured working capital, that process kills the deal before it starts.

The Outlook way

Funded in 24-72 hours, often unsecured

We work with non-bank commercial lenders who specialise in fast asset finance and unsecured business lending. Equipment finance: 24-48 hours from application to drawdown for amounts under $250k. Working capital: 1-3 days, often without property security, against your trading history. We package the application, get you the right lender, and you get on with running the business.

How it works

Three steps. Roughly 30 minutes.

1

Apply

Tell us your situation in a 2-minute online form, or call for a 10-minute chat. No documents needed yet โ€” we just want to understand what you’re trying to do.

2

Assess

We compare every product on our lender panel against your situation, then walk you through the 2-3 best options including realistic rates, fees, and turnaround times.

3

Approved

We package and submit the application, chase the lender, and keep you informed at every step. Most clients are unconditionally approved within 5-10 business days.

Frequently asked

Common questions about business & asset finance

Do I need property security for a business loan?+
Often no. Equipment finance (vehicles, machinery, computers) is secured by the asset itself โ€” no property required. Unsecured working capital up to $500k is available from several lenders against your trading history (12+ months of bank statements typically). Larger amounts or longer terms may benefit from property security to reduce the rate.
What's the difference between a chattel mortgage and a lease?+
A chattel mortgage means you own the asset from day one and the lender takes a mortgage over it โ€” best for businesses that want to claim the GST on purchase and depreciation. A finance lease means the lender owns it and you make payments to use it (with an option to buy at the end) โ€” best for businesses wanting fixed monthly costs and minimal balance sheet impact. Your accountant can advise on the better structure for your tax situation.
How fast can asset finance be approved?+
For amounts under $250k, conditional approval is often issued within 24 hours of application. For 'matrix' or 'low-doc' deals (no financials required, just a one-page application + driver licence + ABN), some lenders settle within 24-48 hours. Larger or full-doc deals take 3-7 business days.
Can I finance a used vehicle or second-hand equipment?+
Yes. Most lenders fund used assets up to 10-15 years old at end of term (so a 5-year-old asset financed over 5 years is fine). Older, specialised, or imported assets sometimes need a specialist lender. We'll match the asset to the right lender.
What documents do I need to apply?+
For 'low doc' asset finance under $250k: ABN, driver licence, and basic business details โ€” that's often it. For 'full doc' or larger amounts: 2 years of business and personal tax returns, current financials, and 6 months of bank statements. Working capital lenders typically want 6-12 months of business bank statements showing trading activity.
